 That’s me at when the O’s were in Atlanta in 2006. Russ Ortiz debuted and stunk but we won. I’m giving props to the World Series trophy because, I’m pretending we won it. I’d been up since 3 am that morning (not what you think…I had work early that day so I could go to game). What a long night, BUT we won.

Who’s my favorite Oriole? That’s an easy one. I followed the O’s for two reasons when I was a kid. I love cartoons and so I thought the cartoon bird was awesome and I thought that Cal Ripken Jr was the man. Of course, he is the man. (photo from SI)

For the moment, Brain Roberts is my favorite current Oriole. But soon enough he’ll be wearing pinstripes and singlehandedly end the Cubs 100 year drought of World Series ineptitude.  Which means I’ll have to have a new favorite Oriole and buy a new jersey…
