The Orioles defied the thinking of all the nay sayers tonight and avoid that dreadful 0-162 season by beating the Yankees 6-4.
The offense showed up with Melvin Mora going 3 for 5, Nick Markakis going going 2 for 5 and driving in a pair and Jay Gibbons drove in 2 as well.
